Obituary of Maria R. Morelos

Maria R. Morelos of Tucson, AZ, went home to be with our Lord on January 28, 2021 at age 101. Maria was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico on August 9, 1919.  Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt was a beautiful, loving and inspiring role model to her family and friends.  She will be missed and always remembered. She had great faith in God and treated everyone she met with grace and kindness. She is preceded in death by her husband, David V. Morelos; son, Frank Morelos; parents Isaac and Antonia Ruiz; and five siblings. She is survived by her sister, Eloisa Sanchez. She is survived by four children, Arturo (Gloria), Magdalena Garcia (Arthur), Richard (Gloria) and Sylvia Culp. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at Holy Hope Cemetery on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services will be private for the immediate family.
