Obituary of Jacqueline Sullivan

Jacqueline “Jackie” Sullivan, 86, caring wife, loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great friend to many passed away Friday, January 22, 2021. She was born 4/22/1934 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Florian and Alice Mae Pech. Her battle with medical issues after suffering a stroke in 2008 showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the challenges, Jackie stayed positive, loved spending time with family and friends, and kept her great sense of humor. Her favorite catch phrase after her stroke was “I can do it myself”. She was a proud independent woman.

Jackie and Bill moved to Tucson after their wedding in 1955. Jackie was a medical technologist but found a successful career in Real Estate with Bill. She enjoyed Golfing, hosting many parties, reading, doing crossword puzzles, spending lots of time with family and friends, watching the grandkids many activities, and spending summers in Oceanside. Jackie’s fantastic personality was contagious to everyone she met. She was forever joking with everyone and confusing the grandchildren with her “old sayings”. As an old friend said “Her laugh embraced you. Her joy when dancing with Bill at a REALTOR event was effervescent. Her gaze able to look into your soul. She was a remarkable woman”. She will live on in all of us.

Her husband Bill preceded her in death in 2004, and she is survived by her 3 children Kelly Cruz (Alex), Kevin Sullivan (Genine), Kerry McEldowney (Andy), 11 grandchildren, Alex, Danny, Chris, Sean (Sarah), Robert (Lisa), Brittany (Chase), Michael, Emily, Jordan (Lyndsey), Lindsay, Madison and 2 great grandchildren, Liam, and Stirling. She is also survived by her beloved sister Patty Vaughan and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice on her behalf.
