Obituary of Patricia A. Morris

Patricia A. Morris was born September 7, 1937 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Lucille B and Cresswell Lumb, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brother, James C Lumb, sister, Jeanne L Schurr, and grandson, Jeremy Tschappat.

“Pat”, as she was so fondly called, moved from Aberdeen, SD to Chicago, IL and finally set roots in California in 1957.  She was a very high-spirited, motivated, and determined woman that made a home for her and her daughter, Cara Dee.  In 1974 Pat moved to Hayward, CA where she met, and later, married Joe L Morris, Sr. on September 15, 1976.  They worked together at the Alameda Naval Shipyard before relocating to Sierra Vista, AZ. In Sierra Vista, she worked at the Ft. Huachuca Army Base. Eventually, she transferred to Davis Monthan Airforce Base in Tucson, AZ. She later retired from DMAFB on July 29, 2011.    

Pat loved to travel with family, and she landed a job that allowed her to travel for her country. She spent time in Okinawa, Iraq, Bosnia and Kuwait.  On of her life joys was riding in a Black Hawk Helicopter, as a civilian.

Pat is survived by her husband, Joe L Morris, Sr.; daughter, Cara Dee Vilders (Mike) of Kalamzoo, Michigan; sons Joe L Morris, Jr and Leonjo L Morris, Sr (Dansiea) of Tucson, Arizona.  A host of Nieces, Nephews, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, one Great Great-Grandchild and Friends.
