Robert Detwiler

Obituary of Robert Charles Detwiler

Robert C. Detwiler (aka Rob or Bobby) was born on May 22nd, 1987 to Robert L Detwiler and late Virginia Detwiler in Watertown, NY. He was the youngest of three children, his older sisters are Barbara and Rebecca. Robert's life was tragically taken from us all on August 15th, 2020.

Charismatic and sarcastic are just a couple of traits many know Robert for. He played baseball and soccer for the community in Tucson, Arizona where he spent most of his life. Many who knew him could tell you how determined and ambitious he was. A man who would go the extra mile and give the shirt off his back if ever needed.

There are no words to describe the deep sorrow sown into each of us who have felt this loss. For friends who have lost the man who was the light of the party - for the family who lost not only a member loved dearly, but a mentor and guide. Robert was a man who loved us all with ferocity and devotion teaching us all how we should love one another.

Robert has left behind three beautiful daughters, Anastasia, Elisabeth, and Mari-Ann. Words alone cannot describe how much he loved his children. He always had their best intentions on his mind. Robert is a human nonetheless, making mistakes in his life, like all of us have. However, he owned his actions. Robert was prideful, strong, and true. He always stuck by his morals. So let us know that despite him being taken from us too soon, that he is still with us. In all the memories we've shared and all the things we ourselves will become, let's remember him - with our memories he will never truly be gone.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Joshua 1:9 KJV
