Mike was a great guy and a wonderful neighbor. He always made us laugh. We enjoyed our conversations with him in the middle of the strreet. One of my favorite memories was when you guys got locked out of your house, and were stuck in the backyard. He said he kept yelling our names, but no response. So he had to climb the wall. By the time he got to our house he was a little miffed that we didn't hear him because our door was closed. He said "you always have your door open." Sorry it was hot that day. Lol. He will be truly missed. May God give you strength and comfort during your time of sorrow. Remember, we are just across the street if you ever need anything. Love David and Cathryn

I have gotten the opportunity of knowing and working with Mike over the past few years. He was a kind soul and all around great guy. I'm going to miss our break time convos under the Ramada and that comedic laugh that just made the conversations more funny. You will definitely be missed,. Rest easy my friend.

I had the pleasure of working beside Mike for a little over a year with The City. Every day he would pop up and ask me how my day was I would reply and ask him “ how about yours” his reply was always the same “ ahh just living the dream” in his sarcastic voice. Mike, you will be truly missed. Reading the memories people have shared, there is one specific memory we all have in common.. We remember the love Mike expressed for his wife Lynn and family. He was truly a family man. My condolences and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Rest In Peace Mike!

Lynn,
Like many others I was also very fortunate to have known Mike. I operated a side loader along with mike In ES back when he started with us 2008. Mike had a very unique sense of humor that you simply liked or did not, Well long story short , I was friends with mike from day one back at the East side service center. Mike ended up working with some of us at the ES customer service where he truly loved working. He always had some crack to make about everything and kept us all in suspense of what he was going to say next. His laugh was infectious. What I loved about Mike is how he would speak his mind to anyone, And I mean anyone without regard, If you were at the wrong end of that, Well Good luck :) I will miss Mike. Rest in peace my friend.

I don’t even know where to start... Mike Wazowski you were such a light in my life growing up. Living next to you guys was such a blessing. I had a home away from home and a second family. Mike Wazowski always welcomed me with open arms and treated me like a daughter and I will forever hold on to all of our memories! Our times together were always spent laughing (even when me and Derek were causing trouble which happened a lot). Whether we were spending all day and night in the pool, playing pool in the garage, or just watching a movie and eating one of Mikes DELICIOUS meals we always had a blast. We lost one of the greatest people I have ever met and my heart is broken. You will always be MY Mike Wazowski and I will cherish all the times we had together. Thank you for loving me like a daughter and allowing me to be apart of the family. Saying you will be missed is an understatement. I love you Mike Wazowski. And I love you Lynn and Derek.

Mike, my friend you made me laugh always, and made me cry...because I laughed so hard. I loved working with and knowing you from Southside, and watching the video only reinforced what I already knew: you laughed and smiled, and smiled and laughed and brought joy to everyone. We talked golf and your old trash truck driving days, and about life and family. You were one of the best.

Lynn would pack him a lunch daily. I would tease him as to what type of sandwich he was eating for the day, some days he would come to me and say - Will, I need pizza! Off to Costco we would go. It was during these rides that i learned of the love for his wife, the advise he would give his son about buying BMW and how he would prepare the meatballs and then make the spaghetti. During lunch we would talk about a lot of things, but not the calls that our work included cause we were on BREAK. Them Hawaii trip were very meaningful to Mike and he made me promise that I would go and not be a "cheap ass.' Rest well sir, I wish you could have enjoyed just 1 day of retirement.
“Some birds are not meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go, or when you open the cage to feed them they somehow fly out past you. And the part of you that knows it was wrong to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, the place where you live is that much more drab and empty for their departure.”

Michael will be truly be missed. He was such a sweet man and great co worker. I would admire and love how he always talked about his wife and how his face would bright up when he would talk about his family. It does hurt that he wont be sitting in that chair everyone would ask him for at La Entrada and all his conversations where funny and interested. I am glad i was able to sit next to him and help him when he needed and when i needed it too always trying for him not to get in trouble. Always bumping our chairs and laugh about it cause we didn't fit in that little space with his big chair but he would always have something funny to say. We will miss your smile friend. You will be missed Michael Rest in Peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Michael or Mr. Parente as I use to say to him every morning when I came into work. Mike was a GREAT man and a loving husband and father. He always had something smart to say to me, but that's how we talked to each other. He would call me either his pain in the ass or troublemaker. haha. I'm gonna miss our side conversations and him throwing his stress ball at me to get my attention when he needed some help. My condolences to his wife and family, he will be missed but never forgotten. Until later Mr. Parente!

My deepest condolences Lynn and family. My heart hurts so much to know I'll never see or be able to talk to Mike again. He was such a fun work buddy and the best Work Husband. Mike always had something clever to say. We had some great laughs and really great times. We became instant friend the very first day he came to work in our department. There was ALWAYS something to talk or laugh about. He taught me how to make the best BBQ ribs ever.
I remember he made a special Italian lunch for some of us one day. He proudly brought in a huge box with pasta and meatballs - even dinner plates and forks from home. We'd often go out to lunch or just talk in the break-room. One year Lynn gave him a beautifully framed photo of the two of them from their wedding day, it was so elegant and Michael proudly displayed it on his desk. He'd gaze at it all the time and say "Awe, Lynn was so beautiful, especially on the wedding day." He loved Lynn and his boys so much. He had a huge heart, great sense of humor and an awesome laugh. We kept in touch after we both went to work for different departments. I'd get email from him often with just GM WW, and I'd reply with a GM WH. I really missed working with Mike for the past 2 years. I will always cherish my memories of Mike deep in my soul, and there will always be a special place in my heart for him - My Work Husband.
I am so heartbroken and I will truly miss him. It has been an honor and a blessing to have had Mike in my life. May he rest in eternal peace. Much Love ~ Pat Camacho

Michael was a kind and caring person. We had some good talks, and great laughs about our family and work. It was a pleasure to work with and get to know Michael. when I would walk in early to work, he would already be there at his desk, I can still hear his voice, 'i'm hanging there'!
My deepest sympathy to the family. As the days pass, I hope you find comfort and support with your family and friends that surround you and the wonderful memories.

Lynn and family ~
I’m so sorry for your loss, and also for his loss to the rest of us at the City who knew him and loved him. In reading some of these memories, I’m again very moved, feeling the same flow of emotion as when I first heard the news. Michael was not only a good man, he was a great one. He had a way of connecting to the core of one’s heart.
He always shared great stories of the great love he has for you, Lynn, and funny stories about family and friends. He definitely knew his stuff about BBQ, gourmet cooking, cars, and cigars. When I first met Mike in customer service basic training, he often shared a swisher sweet with me on breaks, and even bought me lunch a time or two. He never hesitated to offer a helpful hint or even a hand when there was a need. He was a very generous soul, and I’ll miss him.
I’m praying for your relief and for your family in this time of grieving. It’s my belief that I’ll see him in heaven. I have no doubt that he’s there now, giving joy to family and friends who have passed, and also no doubt that he’s making new friends. It lessens the pain in knowing he’s now there, and free from the troubles of this world. I may not have the opportunity to meet you and your family, but should you need anything, please feel free to text me at 520.784.8877.

Michael was a wonderful man who brought smiles to everyones faces. I admire the way he loved his wife! When he would speak of her, his face lit up-such a beautiful thing! It is not common to see that after years of marriage. We had many conversations and he always had a way to make me laugh no matter what my mood was. I will miss you Mike! And Mrs Parente, please let me know if I can do anything! I have been keeping you in my prayers.

Hello my name is RJ and I was a coworker of Mike's. He sat next to me the last couple of months he was back in the office downtown. He was a one of a kind for sure and I will miss his sense of humor. We would sit and talk all day between calls or even on our breaks. He would talk about how much he loved his wife and his son everyday; my thoughts are with them. He was always trying to make someone laugh and that's what I will always remember most. I'll even remember him telling me how you should cook a steak correctly or how good his spaghetti was every time he would bring it for lunch. I talked to him a few weeks ago when he called in because his recycle was missed; he told me to be safe and we would see each other soon. I'll see you on the other side brotha! Rest easy Big Mike!
