Larry Lee King

1941 – 2020

King, Larry Lee passed away at his home with his family at his side.

He is survived by his wife Alice; and his daughters, Kelly Kempi (Greg), and Kendra Scudder (Paul); grandchildren, Elaina, Dawson and Jackson; brother Jack King (Sylvia); and sister-in-law Ann Koss (David).

Larry was born in Keokuk, Iowa in 1941 and moved to Tucson in 1957.  He graduated from Catalina High School in 1959 and from the University of Arizona in 1965.  He enlisted in the US Army and spent 20 years before retiring at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.  He then went on to work another 20 years for the Army as a civilian, considering himself a soldier for life.

Larry and Alice, his beloved wife of 57 years, moved back to Tucson in 2018 to escape the cold winters of the Midwest.

Cremation will be through Bring’s Broadway Chapel with burial at a later date.
