Obituary of Patsy Marie Strom

Patsy Marie Strom (née Ratliff), age 80 of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2020. She was born to the late Anderson Allen Ratliff and Lorene Mable Rogers (née Terry) on June 6, 1939 at Ray Rivers Place Farm, in Fanning County, Hobbs Community, Texas.

Patsy graduated from Rotan High School in Rotan, Texas in 1957, where she was Class Vice President and in the Honor Society her senior year. Patsy was raised in the Southern Baptist faith and sought comfort and guidance from the Lord in many aspects of her life.

Patsy was a retired homemaker living in Tucson with her husband Larry Strom, after having raised five children and having worked in both the legal and medical administration. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Anyone who met Patsy, knew she had a very caring and loving heart with a kind, gentle, manner.

Survivors include her husband Larry Strom of Tucson, sister Gaynell O’Brien and husband H.V. of Eastland, TX, brother Rayford Ratliff and wife Susie of Dumas, TX, sister Carolyn Conklin of Canyon Lake, CA, brother Merlin “Don” Ratliff and wife Jan of Montgomery, AL, Daughter Yvon Matthews of Tucson, daughter Janet Shelter and husband Patrick of Hemet, CA, daughter Jean Mitchell and partner Ron of Covina, CA, daughter Jennifer Thomas and husband Mark of Beaumont, CA, son Jeffrey Morphy and wife Robin of Darlington, SC, son Dale Strom and wife Christie of Denver, CO, along with many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In consideration of the current global environment (COVD-19), a small family gathering of remembrance will be held at Larry and Patsy’s home in Tucson on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. A private memorial service will be held at a future date and time in Minnesota. The family wishes to encourage family and friends to visit a memorial website at X Link to sign her guestbook leaving thoughts and reflections on Patsy.
