Obituary of Frances O. Pratt

Francis O. Pratt died May 11, 2019, in Tucson. Francy was born on September 24, 1950 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Lois O'Connell (nee McMahon) and the late James Anthony O'Connell. Francy attended St. Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana where she met her husband, Michael Bruce Pratt. Michael and Francy married at Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame in 1973. Francy is the beloved mother of Katherine Brisky (Bill), Brian (Laura), and Maureen; and beloved grandmother of Paul. Throughout their marriage, Mike and Francy and family traveled the world, living in several states (Idaho, Colorado, Michigan, Illinois, and Tennessee) and overseas in Madrid, Spain, Santiago, Chile, and Montreal, Canada. Francy had unwavering faith in God and was known among family and friends for her tremendous strength and political wit. Francy is the beloved eldest sister of Chrissy McAleer, Cassy O'Connell, Marynell Greer, Barbara Hoyt, and Anne Clare O'Connell. Francy is the sister-in-law of Ann Pratt, wife of husband James Pratt, and of Joan Compton, wife of Gary Compton. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Saint Thomas the Apostle, 5150 N Valley View Rd, Tucson, AZ 85718. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Mausoleum.
