Obituary of Herminia Angulo Rodriguez
Herminia Angulo Rodriguez, born February 19th, 1927 passed away peacefully at Peppi’s House on December 31st, surrounded by family.
Herminia immigrated from Mexico to Tucson in 1947 where she met Alicia, a lifelong best friend and eventual sister-in-law. With her late husband, Salvador, created a family and home in central Tucson. Her kind, caring heart and nurturing spirit were evident as she stayed home to raise her children, babysit neighboring kids, and help raise her grandchildren.
Sadly, in addition to her parents, Herminia was predeceased by her husband Salvador of over 50 years, and her siblings Bernardo, Joaquina, Carmelo, Porfirio, Salvador and Tomas.
Herminia was the loving mother of Bob (Sheri), Bert (Marion), Patricia (Curt), and Manny (Jeanne); cherished Nana to Cassi, April (JT), Jayme, Tracey (Anthony), Amanda, Veronica, Curt Jr, Samantha, Larissa, Andrea, Gabriel, and Alex; as well as, her great-grandchildren Jaime Jr, Justin, Travis, Abel, Veda and Salvador.
She is survived by a dear sister-in-law Alicia Garcia and by many loving nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8th, from 5pm to 8pm at Brings Broadway Chapel, 6910 E Broadway Blvd. Her life will be celebrated at Saint Pius X Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 9th at 10am with a graveside service at Our Lady of the Desert. The Family asks that you join them for a luncheon at the conclusion of services at Manny’s (Jeanne’s) house, 12680 E Ft Lowell, Tucson 85749.
