Obituary of Dorothy H. McFall

Dorothy H. McFall, born October 9, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio the only child of Edgar H. and Marie Hilliard peacefully passed away at home at the age of 96 on December 1, 2018 in Green Valley, AZ. She was predeceased by her husband of over 54 years, Colonel (Ret.) Dana McFall, Jr. (USAF) and her son Dana, III. She is survived by daughter-in-law Margaret of Phoenix, her sons, Craig (Kristine) and Kirk (Pamela) of Green Valley, AZ; grandsons Dana IV (Sarah), Daniel, Jeffrey (Cheryl), Brandon; granddaughter Kelly; step-grandchildren Andrea and Jason Healy; 5 great grandchildren and a step great granddaughter. A graduate of Fairmount High School in Dayton in 1940 and Otterbein College in 1944 she taught high school for a year before her marriage in 1945. Her marriage took her all over the world before the couple retired in Tucson, AZ in 1972. They also traveled extensively during retirement. As an only childe she developed an independent and self-reliant spirit. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed playing bridge, crossword puzzles and solitaire on her iPad. She was a 40 year member of Christ Presbyterian Church where she held both Deacon and Elder positions. Life Celebration Service will be held at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712 at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2019 with Pastor Steve Melde officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Christ Presbyterian Church Life Celebration Fund, 6565 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ 85710 or the Alzheimer's Association, 5132 E. Pima, Tucson, AZ 85712
