To the family of Retired Supervisory Deputy U. S. Marshal Richard Reid.
Dick was my Supervisor from 1978 to 1982 He was a Special man who cared for his men. I learned a lot from Dick. He helped me with my promotion to SDUSM in 1982, by giving me many different opportunities while in Tucson. I believe I was the 8th
( +-) DUSM assigned to Tucson when I arrived.
My wife, Joanne, and I send our Prayers to the Family & Friends during this time of loss. GOD BLESS.

Was so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Dick was my first supervisor in the U.S. Marshals Service and he was my first mentor. I remember arriving in Tucson after the academy with no where to stay and my family back in Wisconsin. Dick and Jean took me into their home and were life savers and so kind. I had hoped to get back to Tuscon and visit with Dick but will always have fond memories of a special man.
Denise and my prayers are with family at this difficult time.

To Mary and the whole Reid family, we’re sending our love and will be with you in spirit on Tuesday.
We remember Dick as a loving match to our dear Aunt Mary and the kind of guy that could keep us in line—if he wanted to :)
We hope you share wonderful memories in the days ahead, and our thoughts are with you!
Love from Jean and Bruce Urman
