Obituary of Gilbert G. Naour

NAOUR, Gilbert G.  12/10/1947-10/4/2018 (70) was born and raised in Detroit, MI.

Gil is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals.  He relocated to Tucson, AZ in 1981. Gil loved people and they loved him. His big heart, loving ways, and his unforgettable sense of humor made a friend of everyone he met. Gil had many accomplishments, but his family was what he devoted his life to. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Henry M. and Gabrielle Y. Naour, and cherished nephew Gary Munnings. Gil is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lynetta, his children Barry Naour, Kristyl Howard (Ishmael), Michelle Naour, Lindsey Naour (Steven).  He is also survived by sisters Jeannette Solitro, Suzette Pogats (Harry), brothers Henry Naour (Joan), John Naour, and 11 grandchildren – Shawn, C.J., Ami, Michaela, Kristian, Ish, Liahna, Ysabela, Alexandria, Gabriella, Curtis and many nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart. Services will be held on October 25, 2018 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S Kolb Rd., Tucson, Az. at 10: a.m.  Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, October the 26th at 1:00 pm at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 15950 N. Luckett Rd, Marana, Arizona 85653.
