Janice Kelly obituary

Janice Eleanor Kelly, born June 4, 1955, in Columbus, Georgia, passed away suddenly at her home on February 22, 2024, at the age of 68.

Janice relocated with her family to Tucson, Arizona in 1962, where she spent most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Frank Kelly and is survived by her mother, C. Lanice Ameling. Janice was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Rath.

Janice leaves behind her son, David (Setasha) Bybee; daughter, Carol (Alex) Leon; brother, Joe (Julie) Kelly; grandchildren, Samantha (Connor) White, Joe Pettit, and Ava Leon; and great-grandchildren, Bradley and Liliana White.

Janice had a special affection for her feline companions, Misty and Charlie, and she will be remembered for her thoughtfulness in sending cards and care packages to her loved ones. Despite facing challenges throughout much of her life, Janice gave this life all that she had.

The family wishes to express appreciation to Janice’s longtime caregiver, Dianna, her sister-in-law, Beverly, and to the residents she shared community with over the last couple of years for the support and friendship they gave to her.
