Obituary of Irene Sanchez
Irene Loustaunau Sanchez passed away, surrounded by her family, on February 21, 2024, in Tucson, AZ, at the age of 86. She was born on June 6, 1937. Irene was a dedicated Secretary who worked at Tully Elementary School, Pima County Justice Courts, and Tucson Water.
She is survived by her sister Kathy Spector, daughters Christina (Glenn) Yamada, Karen (David) Valdez, and Anna Marie (Dan) Higgins. Irene was a loving grandmother to Ronald Anthony Flores, Valerie Nicole (Ricardo) Samaniego, Joey (Shauna) Martin, Tim Martin, Joel Valdez, and Katrina Valdez. She also leaves behind 8 great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Yndalecio (Andy) Solano, son Charles Andrew Solano, mother Dolores Loustaunau, husband Carlos Frazier Sanchez, and brother Charlie Loustaunau.
In her free time, Irene enjoyed sewing, baking, and cooking for her family. She cherished moments spent with her children and grandchildren and always looked forward to outings and family gatherings with them.
Viewing to be held at Brings Funeral Home Friday, March 1 at 5 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m.
A service in memory of Irene will be held at
St Augustine Cathedral Catholic Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Brings Funeral Home in Tucson, AZ, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
