Obituary of Armando C. Trujillo
Armando Castillo Trujillo, 89, peacefully passed from this life on Sept. 7, 2016, and was reunited with his beloved Emma Takagi Trujillo in God's loving embrace.
Visitation and Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at St. Joseph's Church, 215 S. Craycroft Rd.
Armando was preceded in death in 2005 by Emma, his loving wife of 57 years. He grew up in Benson, AZ and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He subsequently worked for the City of Tucson for 42 years. When he retired in 1990, Armando was the longest-serving city employee at that time.
Armando is survived by six children -- Armando (Sharon), David (Mary Pat), Phillip (Donna), Cristina (Jac) Polsgrove, Peter, and Joe (Lisa) -- 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He also is survived by four brothers and one sister and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Armando was a strong and honorable man who loved his wife and children above all else. He was quiet but showed his love for his family through his work, honor, integrity, sense of humor, and deep spiritual faith.
