Obituary of Marian D. Gray
GRAY, Marian Verch went to be with the Lord September 8, 2016. She is a native Tucsonian born at the historical Stork's Nest October 5, 1923. She attended Tucson High and U of A. After 25 years as a housewife, volunteer, Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, Little League Chairperson and dog show breeder, Marian became the Southern Arizona Mental Heath Center's Medical Admin Secretary for the next 23 years. In 1948 she was chosen La Fiesta De Los Vaqueros Rodeo Queen. The same year she was voted Davis Monthan Air Force Base's Miss US Army Air Corp. She is predeceased by loving husband Frank of 64 years, also be her parents, Otto and Sophie Verch. She is survived by daughters, Linda Gray, Sandy Priecko (John), Gary (Michelle), also grandsons, Shawn Priecko, John Paul Priecko; granddaughter, Cassie Gray Atwood and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Emma Rose and Dallas Atwood. Marian is survived by brother, Otto Verch Jr. and many loving nieces and nephew. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to the American Heart Association , Cancer Society , Humane Society or charity of your choice .
