Obituary of Gloria Coppock

Gloria Coppock, 87, of Green Valley, passed away on September 21, 2016, in Tucson, Arizona. Gloria was a proud native New Yorker. Born in New York City on June 12, 1929. She was the first American born generation in her family and was the only child of parents Rosario Manno and Anna (Bertolino) who migrated to America from Sicily. Gloria remarried later in life on June 20, 2010 to Dr. Benjamin Coppock in Green Valley, Arizona. Gloria, a Southern Arizona resident for 42 years, was the Chairperson of the Tucson Commission for the USS Tucson (SSN-770) and is an Honorary Plank Owner. Gloria was also a supporter of the Navy League and an avid supporter of veterans during the many wartimes of her life. Gloria traveled the world with memorable cruises and journeys to Mexico, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Alaska, the Caribbean and Hawaii. She also enjoyed travels to every corner of the United States. She enjoyed many years attending the Arizona Theater Company performances and was a true opera aficionado. Gloria's beautiful life will forever be remembered and cherished by her surviving and loving husband Dr. Benjamin Coppock; her two sons Andrew Parnes and wife Janice, and Stephen Parnes and wife Sondra; her five grandchildren Jason Parnes and wife Schuyler, Jeff Parnes and wife Kristen, Jennifer Parnes, Jessica Parnes and Joseph Parnes; and her four great grandchildren Bralyn, Addelyn, Beckett and Lincoln. A memorial service and celebration of her life will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Valley Presbyterian Church, 2800 S. Camino Del Sol, Green Valley, AZ 85622.
