Obituary of Maria Mesta

On November 23, 2016 the angels in heaven rejoiced as they welcomed home, our beautiful mother Maria Luisa Mesta. The Lord led her home while surrounded in song and prayer by her beloved family. She was born on February 1, 1937 in the town of Sonoyta Sonora Mexico. She went to join our wonderful father, Isidro Amaya Mesta, who was called to his celestial home in 1998. Mom lived a simple life and did not benefit from high level education, yet she went on to impact many many lives. She raised a successful family and passed on her most prized treasure, her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Mom's joy was to be with her family. She could talk the ear off of anyone that would listen. Her favorite topic was her kids and her grandkids. She was so very proud of each and every one and shared their accomplishments with anyone that would listen. Mom loved the Lord and felt it important that all she knew would hear of His love. She loved to sing and was very good at it. Mom was compassionate and was the first to help those in need. She enjoyed visiting with her friends, aunts, cousins and many relatives. Mom is happy now and rejoicing in heaven. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her family. She left 12 children, 6 by birth and 6 by marriage, Olga and Sergio Acedo, Norma and Oscar Mesta, Lia and Elias Freij, Connie and Jacinto Hernandez, Maria and Marc Haley and Belem and Allen Thompson. Her pride and joy were grandkids, Oscar II (Liz), Sergio II (Koel), Nicole (Chris), Serena, Adam, Ambar (Chris), Nathan (Cass), Alan, Caleb (Iliana), Elaina, Aleene, Jordan, Alanna, Maya and Jaelen. She was also blessed with 6 great grandkids, Oscar III, Ethan, Ronnie, Abigail, Olivia and Caleb II. She will will forever be in the hearts of her siblings: Socorro, Blanca, Adolfo (Graciela), Servando (Lucila) and Ricardo (Xotchil). Her numerous aunts and cousins will be among those that miss her. Our beloved mother and grandmother, Maria Luisa Mesta's final services will be celebrated with a viewing and celebration of life service on Thursday, December 1, at 6:30 at New Life Church of God located at 330 W. Nebraska. . Friday morning at 10 am we will be saying our last good byes with a worship services at New Life Church, procession to follow leading to South Lawn Cemetery on Park Avenue. We, her family, would like to thank each and everyone of the many people that stopped by to see visit or just simply prayed for her with her during her last days. All of you made her feel loved and happy. El 23 de noviembre de 2016 los ángeles en el cielo se regocijaron cuando dieron la bienvenida a casa, nuestra hermosa madre María Luisa Mesta. El Señor la condujo a su casa rodeada de canto y oración por su amada familia. Nació el 1 de febrero de 1937 en la ciudad de Sonoyta Sonora México. Ella fue a unirse a nuestro maravilloso padre, Isidro Amaya Mesta, que fue llamado a su hogar celestial en 1998. Mamá vivió una vida sencilla y no se benefició de la educación de alto nivel, sin embargo, pasó a impactar muchas vidas. Ella crió una familia exitosa y pasó su tesoro más preciado, su fe en nuestro Señor Jesucristo. La alegría de mamá era estar con su familia. No habia persona cnla cual ella no se podia comunicar. Le encantaba platicar con todos. Su tema favorito era sus hijos y sus nietos. Ella estaba muy orgullosa de cada uno y compartió sus logros con cualquier persona que pudiera escuchar. Mamá amaba al Señor y consideraba importante que todo lo que ella supiera oiría de Su amor. Le encantaba cantar y era muy buena en eso. Mamá era compasiva y era la primera en ayudar a los necesitados. Le gustaba visitar con sus amigos, tías, primos y muchos parientes. Mamá está feliz hoy y se regocija en el cielo. Su hermosa vida será siempre apreciada en las vidas de su familia. Olga y Sergio Acedo, Norma y Oscar Mesta, Lia y Elias Freij, Connie y Jacinto Hernández, María y Marc Haley y Belem y Allen Thompson, dejaron 12 hijos, 6 por nacimiento y 6 por matrimonio. Su orgullo y alegría fueron los nietos, Oscar II (Liz), Sergio II (Koel), Nicole (Chris), Serena, Adán, Ambar (Chris), Nathan (Cass), Alan, Caleb (Iliana), Elaina, Aleene, Jordania , Alanna, Maya y Jaelen. También fue bendecida con 6 grandes nietos, Oscar III, Ethan, Ronnie, Abigail, Olivia y Caleb II. Ella siempre estará en el corazón de sus hermanos: Socorro, Blanca, Adolfo (Graciela), Servando (Lucila) y Ricardo (Xotchil). Sus numerosas tías y primos estarán entre los que no la olvidaran. Los servicios finales de nuestra querida Madre y Nana, María Luisa Mesta serán celebrados con un servicio de cuerpo presente y una celebración de su vida el jueves, 1 de diciembre, a las 6:30 en la Iglesia de Dios de la Vida Nueva. El viernes a las 10 de la mañana estaremos diciendo nuestro último adiós con un servicio de adoración en la Iglesia de la Vida Nueva, terminaremos con una procesión hacia al Cementerio South Lawn en la Calle Park. Nosotros, su familia, queremos agradecer a todos y cada uno de las muchas personas que se detuvieron a ver la visita o simplemente oraron por ella con ella durante sus últimos días. Todos ustedes la hicieron sentir amada y feliz.
