Obituary of Jeffery Lane Somers

Jeffery L. Somers, 42, beloved husband and father, passed away on February 3rd, 2018. Jeff was born July 19th, 1975, in El Paso, TX. The youngest of four sons to Joseph Sr. And Elaine (Yakovich). Jeff graduated from Buena High School in 1994 and went on to serve his country in the USAF as a firefighter. After leaving the Air Force, Jeff continued his career with the Davis Monthan Fire Department where he was the Assistant Fire Chief of Operations. On June 12th, 1995, Jeff married his high school sweetheart, and the love of his life, Irma Renee (Garcia), and they raised 2 amazing boys. Jeff touched so many lives. He loved coaching and mentoring his boys and their friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Renee, his sons Jeffery Somers, Jr., and Javi Somers, his parents, Joseph and Elaine Somers, his brothers, John Somers III (Tamara), Joseph Somers Jr. (Amy),James Somers (Laura), Austin Somers, Alex Somers, Brittany Williams and extended family, Irma and Glenn Walters, Tony Garcia, Barbara and Francis Castro, Natalie Garcia, Gabby Garcia, Yesenia Marquez Garcia, Estevan Garcia, Jose Castro, Sr. And Jose Castro, Jr. There will be a time of visitation this Friday, February 9th, 2018, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Bring's Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd. Tucson, AZ 85710 "You toiled so hard for those you loved. You said goodbye to none. Your spirit flew before we knew, your work on earth was done. We miss you now, our hearts are sore. As time goes by, we miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face: No one can fill your vacant place. Your life was love and labor, your love for your family true. You did the best for all of us. We will always remember you."
