Carole Elliott

Obituary of Carole Ann Elliott

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carole Ann Elliott, our beloved mother, who passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 21st, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1934 to Joseph and Kathleen Marrone. She was passionate about music, teaching piano, and singing, and had a love for travel, having visited many countries during her lifetime with her family and friends. As a mother, she never missed an opportunity to take her children on summer vacations, working tirelessly to ensure they visited as many states in the U.S. as possible.

She started her career in the food service industry at Smithtown General Hospital in New York before moving her family to Tucson, Arizona, in 1976. It was there that she decided to continue her education, becoming a registered Dietician in her late 40s. She then spent many years in food service at Devon Gables Nursing Home, later becoming a caregiver to the elderly a job she continued into her late 70s.

Above all else, our mother loved her family and was dedicated to each and every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a loyal friend and mother, with a gregarious, smart, and strong personality. She had an interest in sports, history, politics, and world affairs and loved nothing more than sitting down with a cup of coffee to discuss these topics with friends and family. She had a passion for listening to music, the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry, MacGyver, Freddy's custard, and enjoyed a bit of whiskey every now and then.

She is survived by her children Kevin Elliott (Renee), Dawn Elliott (Patrick Trimarco), Marc Elliott, Kimber Baker (David), her grandchildren Sharon Elliott (Mark McRoberts), Devon Brown (Chelsie), Kasandra Elson, Wyatt Elliott (Joanna), Diego Elliott, Mimi Chill (Jeremy), Michael Elliott, Savannah Mears (Dalton), Russell Elliott, and 15 beautiful great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dr. Joseph and Kathleen Marrone, her husband Derek Elliott, daughter-in-law Melinda Elliott, and her beloved daughter Heather Elliott
