Obituary of Sharon Joy Gowan

Sharon Joy Gowan left earth for heaven on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 3:25 a.m. at 53 years of age.  She was born in Kansas City, MO. to Leslie and Priscilla Gowan of Green Valley, AZ, who survive her.  She is also survived by her brother Jonathon Gowan, his wife Brenda of Riverside, CA. and their daughter Amber Bransford of Perris, CA. 

She was privileged to share a home in Tucson, AZ with Gayle Moss, her closest friend of 38 years, who also was her excellent, loving caregiver during her closing battle with cancer in home hospice, under the guidance of Peppi’s House Hospice, TMC campus. 

Sharon was in her 23rd year of employment with WALMART on Valencia in Tucson, loving both her work and her fellow-workers who were like family to her.  She was the “go to” person whenever there was a problem to be addressed in her department.  Her door was always open to her co-workers.

Sharon graduated from high school with honors in Pomona, CA, and then spent a year at Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, Saskatchewan, Canada. 

She trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a small child and trusted Him still till He called her home to heaven.

A memorial service is scheduled at Brings Broadway Chapel on June 9, 2018 at 5:00pm, 6910 E. Broadway BL, Tucson, AZ.
