Dorothy Dittmar

Obituary of Dorothy Carr Dittmar

Dorothy Carr Dittmar ("Dotty")

1931-2018- A Fabulous Life

You entered her home to a warm welcome.

A burst of color would fill your eyes- here,

a painting of her beloved husband, Louis

Clinton Dittmar, Capt., USN, Ret. There, a

spectacular watercolor by her artist mother, Anita Carr,

and a portrait of her educator father, Don Arthur Carr.

Dotty displayed her life on her walls, and, everywhere,

had art, treasures and memories from her children:

Rebecca Marni (Jerry), Louis Clinton (Chris),

Don Arthur (Ruth), Jeanne Armstrong (Michael)

and her fellow adventurer,  sister Marianna Krotz (Charlie).

She deeply loved her 5 grandchildren, 3 great

grandchildren, and her extended family. She

cherished her friends to an extraordinary degree.

Her life was full of world travel, beauty, exploration,

lifelong learning, Happy Hours, and bridge and book

clubs. She was a dedicated Navy wife, an amazingly

cool mother, and a passionate believer in the goodness of people.

As to her impending passing, she said, "I am not afraid,

I'm just curious." Deeply loved, deeply missed.

Her life will  be celebrated April 27th, 2018, 4:00-8:00 pm.
