Obituary of Dorothy S Weaver

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy S. Weaver, age 88, a happy, adventurous soul, taken too soon on September 29, 2023 in Tucson, AZ. Born September 26, 1935 in Lexington, KY to David T. and Ada Smith, she is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry A. Weaver, Jr., and their daughter, Cheryl J. Weaver.

She is survived by
     -her brother and his wife, David K. and Joyce Smith, their daughter Deborah, her husband and family, their son Douglas, his wife and family
     -her daughter and her husband, Carol and Ed Walraven, their sons, Robert and Dennis
     -her son, Thomas Weaver, his children, Lindsay and Benjamin
     -her son, Donald Weaver
     -her brother in law, Lou Langie, his daughters, Roberta and Adele
and many friends.

She was an active member of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church and the community, participating in Bell Choir, Sages, Red Hats, making sandwiches for Casa Maria, and helping school children by reading books to them and cleaning donated ones. She was an active election poll worker and a community canvasser for the U.S. Census Surveys.

In lieu of flowers, she has asked that donations be made to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Among her stated last wishes was a desire for others to " be happy".

Memorial Service will be held, Saturday October 21st at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church at 10:00am. 

Interment witll be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA where she will be interred next to her husband Harry Weaver.
