Obituary of Concepcion N. Alvarez

Concepcion “Connie” N. Alvarez, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and tia passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023, at the age of 83. She was born on December 8, 1939, in Douglas, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel V. Alvarez and their infant daughter Lisa, as well as her sister Mary N. Alvarez, son-in-law Victor Chavez, and her parents Ernesto and Hortencia Noriega.

Connie is survived by her children Sonia Aquino (Louis), Mary Lou Chavez, Manuel Alvarez Jr. (Lina), Grace Alvarez Gramos (Scott), Eddie Alvarez, Cindy Solis (Juan), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her siblings Luis Noriega, Ernesto Noriega, Cecilia N. Silvas, and Rosy (Alex) Almaguer.

Connie was a beautiful woman, overflowing with love, care, and generosity. Her heart was incredibly forgiving, always offering unconditional love to anyone lucky enough to cross her path. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and her grandkids held a special place in her heart. Although she may be physically gone, her love will continue to live on in our hearts, a testament to the beautiful soul she was. Connie will be deeply missed by everyone.

On October 18, 2023, the Holy Rosary will be recited for Connie at 11:00 am, and Mass will follow at 11:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N Shannon Rd, Tucson, AZ 85742.
