Obituary of Providencia Gonzalez

Providencia Gonzalez, 73, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on August 26, 2023 after a long valiant battle with her health.

Provi was born on May 26^th 1950 to Jose and Rafaela Masa in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico. After Provi graduated from James J. Ferris High School in 1969 , she went on to study at the School of Business Machines.

After graduating with a certification in Date Entry, she started her first job at Sears Roebuck & Co as a Data Entry Specialist in Operations, kickstarting a career in data entry and fraud investigations.  She worked for the Department of Corrections for the State of Delaware, Bank of New York, and as a fraud investigator for J.P. Morgan Chase.

In 1971 , Provi met Joaquin at Sears Roebuck & Co. Providencia and Joaquin went on to have 2 children, Monica and John.

In 1997, Provi was unfortunately diagnosed with Scleroderma and virtually retired to focus on her health and quality of life.  She loved spending time with her family, cooking, enjoying good food, listening to Latin Music, continuing her faith in God, and always thinking of others before herself.

Provi was predeceased by many loving relatives who she cherished. She is survived by her husband Joaquin, daughter Monica, son John, and her grandchildren Jasmyne, Lucas, Adelyn, and Mazzie.
