Obituary of Albert Earl Anderson
Albert Earl Anderson, 84, of Tucson, Arizona died on August 21, 2023. Albert was born to James and Una (Sevey) Anderson in Colonia Chuichupa, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Albert was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Lynn. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lynnea (Gilbert) Anderson, and children James Anderson, David (Tammy) Anderson, Jonathan (Georgina) Anderson, Mark (Tiffany) Anderson, Sara (Mark) Cysewski, Corey Anderson, and Sheila (DJ) Borst.
Albert was a proud grandfather to 27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was the best baby holder in the world.
Albert was a great athlete. In high school, he played basketball, football, and tennis. He grew up cowboying in Mexico and on the Mogollon Rim on his brother-in-law’s ranch. After high school, he worked for the forest service building trails and fighting fires. Later, Albert worked for Tanner Construction Company and then Granite Construction Company from which retired.
Albert loved watching sports; particularly the University of Arizona and the Dodgers with his kids. He loved to spend time with his family hunting, camping, berry picking, creek hopping, and bird watching.
Albert was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a bishop twice and especially loved serving as the bishop with the young single adults.
Albert loved people and was welcoming and friendly to all he met. He will be deeply missed and is very loved.
