Obituary of Virginia Ann Fisher

Virginia Ann Fisher, 80, of Tucson. Arizona, formerly of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2023.

Born October 8, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, she is predeceased by her husband, William Fisher, and both her parents.

A loving mother and grandmother, Virginia was a spirited soul who enjoyed traveling and playing golf during her retirement years.  She also had a passion for dogs, including her beloved rescue dog named Cookie.

Virginia and her ex-spouse Gary Lawson had three children together who they adored.  While both went on to remarry, Virginia and Gary remained good friends and stayed in touch throughout their lives.

Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Sherrie Salgado and Deborah Connell, her son James Lawson, and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private service will be held for close family members to celebrate Virginia’s life.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, an organization she loved and supported later in life.
