Obituary of Agnes S. Prince
Cass was born in Goldroad, Arizona, the first daughter of Lucia and Jesus Serrano. Cass attended Kingman Schools, while working part time as a waitress, she found time to become a cheerleader for her school. She has two daughters, Lou Cardona of Kingman, Arizona and Susan Lorenpzen of Port Orchard, Washington. She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Prince of Oro Valley, Arizona. She has four stepdaughters, Lisa Chapman(deceased), husband Stewart of Phoenix, Julie Rojo, husband Gilbert, Laura Kozlowski, husband Stan of Tucson and Janie Burkhart of Brookdale, California. Survived by three brothers Roland, from Virginia, Tut from Sierra Vista and Jess from Columbus, Ohio. One sister, Rafie from Tucson, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Cass worked for Tucson Newspaper Inc. for over 18 years, where her deceased husband Charles Burkhart was an editor. She retired as an Administrative Assistant of Personnel from the Vail School District after many years of service.She was an active volunteer, working many years for St. Andrews preparing meals and cheering the home bound. She volunteered for several years for Botanical Gardens, where she studied to be a Master Gardener. She loved plants and has a magnificent back yard that she cared for daily. She was well known as a funny entertaining lady. She was a great cook and author of cookbooks, a master gardener, and a perfect hostess.She asked that, instead of flowers, people please make a donation to St. Andrews, please put on the memo line Neighbors Feeding Neighbors.
