Obituary of Sharon Kay Sowle
Sharon Kay Sowle sadly passed away on April 12, 2023 at the age of 79. The Lord called her home suddenly as she was on her way to emergency abdominal surgery. She joins her father, Leonard and her mother, Ruth in Heaven. She is survived by her brother, Richard and the love of her life, her husband of over 60 years, Donald. She was the mother of Judy and Tammy, and the mother-in-love to Mark and Ron. Her memory and legacy will be honored by her grandchildren and great-children.
Sharon was a proud graduate of Pueblo High School and together with her husband Donald, members of the Tucson Hot Rod Association. They loved to show their 1932 Ford Coupe in car shows at Little Anthony’s Diner and throughout Arizona. Before they retired, Don and Sharon could be found at the Maverick Nightclub on Friday nights, dancing to country western music or at Tucson Raceway Park. Sharon loved Beagles, shopping, flowers, and anything that sparkled.
Most of all, Sharon loved God. She was a congregant of Eastside Assembly of God and Copper Mountain Assembly of God. As we mourn the loss of our wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, we find comfort in Philippians 4:13, one of her favorite scriptures, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
To honor Sharon’s memory, her family will hold a visitation and funeral service on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Bring’s Mortuary East on Broadway. Visitation will begin at 10:00 in the morning and the service will begin at 11:00. We invite anyone who knew Sharon to attend and remember her beautiful life. Sharon will be laid to rest at South Lawn Cemetery.
