Obituary of Harold C. Helt Jr.

Harold C. Helt Jr., Col, USAF (Ret) died on Feb 20th, 2023 at the age of 79 after a brief struggle with cancer.

Harry is predeceased by parents, Harold C Helt Sr and Rhoda Helt; and daughter Deanne. He is survived by his wife Jolene in Tucson, AZ; daughter Kimberly Owen and her husband Mitchell Owen in Vail, AZ; his grandchildren Joseph and Amanda Owen in Vail AZ; brothers Franklin Helt in Wellsboro, PA, and Daniel Helt in Richardson, TX.

Harry is originally from Johnstown, PA. Harry served 27 years in the Air Force in which he earned the rank of Colonel.  He was stationed at worldwide assignments including Thailand and Germany. Harry enjoyed traveling, partaking of great food with friends, cheering on his Steelers and the Penguins, hot air ballooning, and enjoying the outdoors - especially riding his Harley-Davison with a Tucson riding group.
