David Earl Kimbrell was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida on October 9th 1935. His Father was Rogers Kimbrell and Mother was Pauline Jane Hogan. He had two older brothers, Kenneth Kimbrell and Leroy Kimbrell, and a younger sister Judy Chandler. He passed away peacefully at home in his sleep in the early morning of February 6th, 2023 at the age of 87. Leaving behind his beloved wife of 42 years, In Hee Kimbrell and his much loved son, David Aaron Kimbrell.

After attending and graduating from Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida, David honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1980. David is a proud Korean War and Vietnam Veteran and retired as an accomplished and distinguished Senior Master Sergeant. David then met the love of his life in Korea, In Hee and they married on June 1st, 1981. They moved back to the United States and eventually back to his hometown, where they had and raised their son, David Aaron. David worked for the city of Jacksonville's water treatment services from 1985-2000. Once his son graduated, he and his family all moved together to Tucson, Arizona in 2004, where he decided to retire and enjoy life.

He was a loving and caring husband and father, there was nothing that he wouldn't have done for his wife and son. He had a tough old fashioned Southern character with a good heart and kind soul. He was very knowledgeable and skilled in many trades; electrical, mechanical, wielding, carpentry, he was a fix/build all handyman. He enjoyed working on his motorcycle, the family cars, and fixing whatever that he thought needed to be fixed. He had a great unique sense of humor and a joke for everything, where he could always make anyone laugh. He had many friends and those who enjoyed his company. He was well traveled and well read. He used to enjoy riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, watching his movies and shows, football and the races, having lunches out with friends, attending church, reading books, and watching the news. He loved his little family dog very much. He lived a long and happy life. He was a very special person. David Earl Kimbrell will always be loved and missed.
