Obituary of Linda L. Beckwith

On Sunday, February 5th Linda Lee Beckwith shed her earthly bonds and went Home to be with the Lord, and her dear Loved ones. Linda was born in Houlton, Maine on July 2nd, 1948 to Ethel M Hannigan-Clark and Herman G Clark, she grew up around Potato farms, and every Fall during "potato recess" a 2-3 week school vacation to pick potatoes alongside her family earning 50 cents a bushel. This is still a tradition in Aroostook County to this day. She and her family moved to Clinton Connecticut when Linda was 14. She attended school in Deep River where she met her Lifelong friend Pam McClellan. After she finished school she worked in local factories until meeting her husband James W. Beckwith. They settled in a house in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. The family moved to Florida in the late 80s but returned to Connecticut after their youngest, Craig graduated. After they retired the couple moved to Tucson, Arizona to be close to their lifelong friends Artie and the late Bill Spencer (2021) Linda and James (Jim) had 3 Children, Kimberly E Alo of Palm Coast, Florida. James W Beckwith Jr of Tucson, Arizona, and Craig A Beckwith formally of Tucson, AZ predeceased her in 2021. She was the middle child of 5 with 4 Brothers, Alan T Clark formally of China Lake, Maine, and Bonita Springs, Florida who predeceased her in 2004, Terry Clark of Ivoryton, Connecticut, Gary Clark of Middletown, Connecticut and Robert E Clark formally of Essex, Connecticut who predeceased her in 2007. Linda worked on and off throughout her life mainly as a skilled factory worker and early on as a Baker. She also worked part-time at Brings funeral home towards the end of her life until her health forced her to take a leave of absence. Linda however was mainly a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and homemaker. Her Children gave her 5 Grandchildren whom she loved dearly Anthony R Alo of Palm Coast, Florida, Archie Rhodes of Bonita Springs, Florida Nicholas D Alo of Palm Coast, Florida Cassandra Beckwith of Bonita Springs, Florida and Gabrielle H Alo of Palm Coast, Florida. Linda loved Shopping for bargains, yard sales, traveling, and bingo until she discovered slot Machines at the casino. She also loved "Karaoke Night" a tradition Linda and Jim shared with many Close friends, hosted and Created by "Wild" Bill and Artie Spencer at their home in Tucson. A Viewing at Brings Broadway chapel 6910 E. Broadway Blvd Tucson AZ 85756 at 10 am followed by her funeral service at 11 am. Afterward, a gathering of friends and family will take place at the Trails West mobile home park, 8401S Kolb rd Tucson AZ 85756 in the utility room that's adjacent to the Guard shack on the right.
