Obituary of Helen Bowling

Helen Bowling (Magrames) passed away on January 8, 2023. She was born on July 11, 1924 in Gary, IN. Helens parents were immigrants from Greece. She was the first in her family to learn English and she went on to earn a college degree. Helen spent a lot of her time volunteering for the Democratic party and even got to know one of our presidents personally. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers Louie and George Magrames, her grandson Darek Slayton and her daughter-in-law Kristen Bowling. Survivors include daughter Diane Slayton and son James Bowling, grandchildren Crystal Gail (Tom Payne), grandson James Bowling, granddaughter Taylor Farr, and great grandchildren Aden and Audrey Gail. Services will be held on February 2, 2023 at Brings funeral home, 6910 E Broadway Blvd #2803, Tucson, AZ 85710 starting at 10:00. There will be a viewing prior to services from 9-10 am. Immediately following will be graveside services at Eastlawn Palms, 5801 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712. We will be having a reception after the funeral service for those interested.  Diane Slayton
