Obituary of Marcia Jo Bailey

Marcia Jo Bailey, 82, of Tucson, AZ died December 29, 2022, of complications related to Alzheimer’s. Marcia was born on May 24, 1940, in Niles Michigan to Glenn and Helen Malbone. Marcia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Michigan University in 1962. Marcia went on to receive her Master of Arts in Education from Michigan State University. Marcia had a passion for teaching, and in particular for working with underprivileged children. She taught elementary school in both Michigan and Arizonan until the birth of her first child in 1979. Marcia met many great friends both through college and in teaching that she remained in touch with throughout the years. Marcia met her husband, William (Bill) of 50 years, while they both worked at O’Rielly Chevrolet in Tucson.  Marcia is survived by her husband Bill, two daughters Lisa (Eric) and Leann (Darrell), 5 grandchildren Alyssa, Julianna, Jake, Brooke and Hannah, and sister Carla (Hugh) and family, as well as many other loved friends and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org.
