Obituary of Dora Sierra

Dora Gonzalez Sierra, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in Chandler, Arizona. She was the second child born January 24, 1943 in Colonia Ignacio Zaragoza, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel Gonzalez and Rosa Olivas. She married Leandro Sierra in 1958 and lived in Douglas, Arizona where they raised five sons. Dora worked many years in Douglas caring for children with special needs. She later moved to Tucson, Arizona and continued to care for others as a foster parent. Dora was a beautiful person who loved her family and continually blessed the lives of others. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Javier Gonzalez, two sisters Isa Ramirez and Lilia Gonzalez, and grandson Gabriel Sierra. She is survived by her sisters Elpidia Vera, Toly Gonzalez, Irma Aubert and brother Arnoldo Gonzalez; her five children Rodolfo Sierra, Carlos (Brenda) Sierra, Leandro Sierra, Robert Sierra, and Adam (Yolanda) Sierra. She has 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 
Services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 55 Arrowsmith Drive, Oro Valley, Arizona. A viewing will be held from 9-9:45 AM and funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Binghampton LDS cemetery, 4001 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson, Arizona.
