Obituary of Nona Annette Calhoun

Nona A. Calhoun, born in Evansville, Indiana on April 16, 1950, entered into rest on March 6, 2018. She worked for American Airlines as a reservationist. She was a loving mother to her children. She enjoyed reading, traveling and cooking.

Her loving memories to be cherished by her loving children; Denise Keithley and her husband Todd of Tucson, AZ; Tracy Bennett of Phoenix, AZ; Stephanie Ross and her husband Erwin of Moreno Valley, CA; Marvin Calhoun Jr. of Atlanta, GA; and Marvella Taylor of Greensboro, NC. Her eight grandchildren, Davina McIntyre, Makayla Page, Dana Williams, Ariana Keithley, Desiree Bailey, Dasiah Bailey, JaNiyah Calhoun and Aiyana Taylor. Her two great grandchildren, Samuel Martin and Levi Sanchez. She leaves two sisters, Diann Scherer, Cathy Harper, and two brothers, Edwin Brown and Dale Brown.

Nona is preceded in death by her parents, William Quarels and Lottie Hopkins and her brother Bruce Quarels.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Bring’s Funeral Home. A special thanks to all of Nona’s friends for all their love and support; and to all of our friends, neighbors and coworkers.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11am at Bring’s Broadway Chapel, 6910 East Broadway Boulevard, Tucson, Arizona.
