Daniel Ciaccio

Obituary of Daniel Ciaccio

DANIEL “DANNY” CIACCIO
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Danny of Tucson, AZ on June 24, 2022, at the age of 58 years.  He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph and Marietta Ciaccio and survived by his brother Michael (Martha) Ciaccio,  sister, Lynn Parente, 4 nieces/nephews and 5 great nieces/nephews.  Danny had a quick wit and was really funny.  He loved to make people laugh.  When he laughed, you knew it was genuine.  His sense of humor brought smiles to everyone.  Most of all, Danny was proud to serve his neighborhood.  He was the 14th Street watchman and caretaker, always doing and caring for others.  Neighbors describe him as a “gentle giant”.  A close friend of Danny’s described him as a “cool dude, that once you got to know him, he would go out of his way to help.  He truly was a gentle soul.”   Danny loved BBQ ribs from Pinnacle Peak and chicken tacos from Mi Nidito.  He loved to go looking in stores and would pick out the best greeting cards for any occasion.  It was his way of expressing his feelings because he did not have/know the words to say.  Danny will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially on 14th Street.
Mass will be said at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on August 12, 2022, at 10:00.  Danny will rest in peace next to his parents at Evergreen Cemetery.
“But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.”
