Obituary of Richard D. Urbanski

Richard D. Urbanski, 92, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on June 15, 2022. He was born on June 22, 1929 in DePue, Illinois to parents John and Mary Urbanski. He was the youngest of 7 children. Richard was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He proudly served his country in the navy followed by a fulfilling career in the aerospace and defense industry.

Richard loved being outdoors and spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating many treasured memories and wonderful times. He was a gifted craftsman and artist who enjoyed painting, woodworking and working with stained glass. He could fix almost anything and freely offered help to others. He also loved cooking and took great joy in making special meals for his family and friends. He was a kind-hearted and generous person who will be forever missed and loved.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mary. Survived by daughter Rose Marie, sons Richard L., Daniel J. (Denise), grandchildren Matthew and Nicholas, sister Virginia Tintorri, many nieces and nephews, and dear friend Doris Levasseur.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N Camino Pio Decimo, Tucson, AZ 85715 on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery, 2151 S Avenida Los Reyes, Tucson, AZ 85748.
