Obituary of Peggy Lucas

Margaret Eileen (“Peggy”) Lucas died May 16, 2022, at the age of 90. Peggy was a cheerful, generous, loving woman and was an accomplished artist. Her devout Roman Catholic faith was an important comfort for her throughout her life but especially as her health declined. Peggy was a wonderful wife and mother. She was married to her soulmate, Clarence Bickford Lucas for 66 years until his death in 2018. She is survived by her three children (Bill, Linda and John), their spouses (Phyllis, Bill and Chris), four grandchildren (Ryann, Erynn, Sean and Jacob), two great grandchildren (Charlotte and Edward), and her beloved dog, Marty. She was preceded in death by her brothers Irving and Conrad. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Visitation/viewing and rosary will be held at Brings Funeral Home at 6910 E Broadway, Tucson, Arizona 85710 on Tuesday May 24th, 2022. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm and the rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St Francis de Sales Catholic Parish at 1375 S Camino Seco, Tucson, Arizona 85710 on Wednesday May 25th, 2022 at 10:00 am. A reception will immediately follow the mass in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, Peggy was a strong advocate for those in need and contributed regularly to St Vincent de Paul – Tucson, 829 S 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85701.
