Obituary of Jeffrey Daniel Yubeta

Jeffrey Daniel Yubeta, age 52, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly in his sleep from heart failure on Saturday Morning, April 9, 2022.  Jeff was born on July 2, 1969 in Tucson, Arizona.

Jeff is survived by his daughter Alexa Yubeta and his son Ian Wallace, his mother Janet Nichols (Mike) and his father Danny Yubeta, his brothers Scott, Ben and Mark, and sister Melanie Knight (Jason). Jeff also leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews, and many, many close friends.

Jeff was above everything, a proud Dad to his daughter Alexa and son, Ian.  He deeply loved and adored them, and they were the pride and joy of his life.  He treasured being their dad, he poured his love into their lives, and he worked very hard to take care of them.

Jeff was also passionate about his friendships.  If you were Jeff’s friend, you were his “Brother” or “Sister”, and you knew this; that you were his friend for life.  Jeff had a gift that could make you feel like time stood still, in that even if you hadn’t seen each other for months or even years, you could just pick right up as if it were yesterday.  

Jeff was a fun loving, happy-go-lucky spirit.  He was an eternal optimist, and effortlessly brought laughter and joy to those around him. 

One of the many things Jeff loved to do for fun was get up on a karaoke stage and sing “Dancing Queen”, and other fun songs.  So many of us, along with scores of happy strangers, laughed, smiled, and sang along, as he led us in happy melodies.

You left our hearts broken, Jeff, when you said goodbye too soon.  But we look forward to seeing you again when we join you in heaven.

Rest easy, go sing for our Lord and make him smile.  We’ll see you again!
