Knowing Dave during our UWP '88 year is something I will never forget. He was always open to any adventure and although he was "staff," his humility, kindness, and humor overshadowed all else. His more "practical" wife, Kerry, would become his perfect compliment, and both exuded a deep generosity of friendship that has continued over the years. I am honored to have seen this kindness and heart in his children. This family is a gift to this world. May God bless this very special family with peace and comfort as Dave watches over them. Sincerely, Suzanne (Reid) Hawley

While we lived in Tucson, as a military family, Dave, Kerry and Mike and Nancy were a part of many of our Christmas, Thanksgiving, and birthday memories. They always ensured me and my family had a family to share the holidays with. They brought us into their circle and made us feel right at home. We will cherish our memories of us all and the time we
Spent together. Dave, Ken and I will be forever thankful of the help he provided us during Ken’s time away from home. From painting a room to small things around the house he was always willing to lend a hand. He was one of the best and will be missed. Thank you friend for being a blessing to all that knew you. Until we see each other again in Gods Holy Light.

Kerry, From the first time you mentioned you had a crush on David who you had met at UWP, I knew you were in love!! I was fortunate enough to be at your wedding and share the love you both had for each other!! You both were lucky to have shared
so much love, history, and three beautiful children together...
I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. He was one of the most solid, honorable men, I have ever met. He had so much love for his family, and there was nothing he would not do for them.
My thoughts are with you, Katie, Micheal, and Sara. May the beautiful memories of David live on forever and forever in your hearts.
Love,
Lynda Hochfelder

We lost a compassionate, loving person when David passed. David was so positive even in the face his leukemia diagnosis. His love and caring shined through to everyone he met. I met him when he became a proud member of Mother Teresa Council at Corpus Christi Parish. I feel blessed that he was "one of us." A good man went home all too soon. Go with God, David. ❤️ Norm Crawford

David was a spiritual warrior! He loved God, he loved his wife and his children, he loved life, and he loved the Pueblo community. Thank you, God, for sharing your son, David, with us. He was a blessing to all of us.

I am so disheartening to hear of David‘s death. We spent many hours together as he was an administrator at Rincon and I a mathematics teacher at UHS. We shared music as a love but that was not our main focus in life; it was the kids that we served. David went through so much the past 10 years, and to think he beat leukemia that it destroyed his immune system and then fell prey to Covid. Prayers for the family as you grieve the loss of this magnificent man.

The Lord has another true angel by His side. We are all fortunate to have worked with David, laughed with David, cried with him, learned with him and simply been in his heroic presence. May the Montano family continue to find peace and may He guide them in their grief.

David had the biggest smile and heart in any room. After meeting him at an Up With People event decades ago, his genuine warmth and enthusiasm was such a gift to all of us. David brought encouragement, opportunity, and joy to so many in the Tucson and TUSD community. May we all be inspired to continue shining his light and love. Kerry and family, you will remain in our hearts and prayers, as you grieve and celebrate a life well-lived. With love, Lee Ann and Randy Hamilton

David has touched and inspired so many with his huge heart. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that made everyone feel welcome. His family was his life. God took one of the "good ones" but those we love are not ours to keep but were sent as a gift from God for a time. His life was a precious gift to all who knew him. ...How lucky were we? We will shed tears because he is gone , but smile because he lived! Our love and prayers are with you all . Love June and Carl
