Marion DeWitt was a great man who accomplished much in his life. Throughout his military career, he traveled the world, gaining insight into cultures from afar. He possessed a keen sense of human behavior and clearly understood the true nature of politics. He was a man of integrity, honesty and impervious to corruption. He adhered to a set of principles from which he never comprised. Moreover, his knowledge in various subjects was very impressive. I learned many things from him. Marion DeWitt was like a father to me, he loved his family and was fiercely loyal to his country. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

The photo on the left depicts Uncle Marion posing with his late brother (my father) James DeWitt at Kitt Peak, 1981. The photo on the right was taken at Melissa’s high school graduation. From left to right: Marion, Helen, Melissa, and Marian.
