Obituary of Christina Ruelas

Christina Ruelas went home to her Lord and Saviour on January 23, 2022.  Preceded in death by her mother and father Edilia and Francisco Valenzuela, brothers Oscar and Frank, step siblings Dickie, Roque, and Keika and beloved husband Gilbert.  Survived by step sisters Stella, Rosemary and Clara and children Larry, Lorena, Lorraine (Robert), Geraldine (Marc) and Gilbert, Jr. along with 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

Born on February 15, 1929 and graduated Fremont California High School in 1948.  She was a stellar softball player and worked for El Rio Clinic. Her passions were cooking, playing piano, music, watching sports, and enjoying her family.  A God fearing lady committed to her faith.  She taught us well with tough love, to live ones life intelligently, she steered us on the right path.  Thank you mom for being there for us and wanting our beautiful family to have laughter, music, good food, success and most inportantly love.  mom, you could have been a master chef of Mexican Cuisine!  We will miss your smile, spirit and humor. Special thanks to the staff of Lynda's Courtyard Assisted Living.  Notably Michelle, Tammy, Connie, and Susie.  Thank you to Lorraine's son and daughter Faustino and Leandrea for their assistance. 

Private services for the immediate family will take place due to the current pandemic.
