Gordon Crane, III

Obituary of Gordon Neal Crane, III

On January 31st, 2022, Gordon "Trey" Neal Crane, III slipped free of his earthly bonds and into the loving arms of Jesus to begin his greatest adventure.  Our sweet, kind, charismatic Trey made friends wherever he went.  Easy to love, he wove together a tapestry of family and friends, bringing others together in the process.

Trey was born on February 6, 1979 and grew up in Aztec, New Mexico, exploring the mountains and roads of San Juan County.  He grew up camping and Jeeping in the Colorado Mountains, bicycling in the New Mexico desert and boating, swimming and water skiing at his beloved Navajo Lake.

Trey was a fourth generation Fort Lewis College graduate with a degree in Business, but his true passion was making maps.  Trey’s career with maps started in San Juan County, but didn’t contain him there. He loved travel and throughout his career he was able to jet-set all over the country, making friends wherever he went. Mapping led him into working with Law Enforcement and First Responders, groups for whom he had great respect.

Trey loved his friends and family, and on his favorite days you could find him in the kitchen cooking something delicious for the people he loved.  Trey leaves behind his mother and father, Diane and Gordon, his Partner Brian, beloved brother Joshua, his Papa, Gordon Sr., aunts and uncles, Candy and Rob, Matt and Jackie, and cousins Krystle (CJ), Robbie, Shelby (Derek) and Dylan and his much loved four-legged furry family Jackson and Cooper. Welcoming him to Heaven were two of his most cherished people, his Granny Dorcas and his Grammy Doris.

Celebrations of life will be held in Tucson, AZ at Bring’s Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd on February 8th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and at a to be announced date at the Oasis Church in Farmington, NM.

Trey loved animals! In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite animal charity.
