Socorro Luna 12/20/1917 - 12/16/2011 Socorro, affectionately known as Rose by her husband and others, entered eternal rest peacefully in her sleep. Greeted in Heaven by her parents, her beautiful daughter, Patricia Ann Vogler and brothers and sisters preceding her in death. She is survived by her loving husband, Luis Luna; sons, Ed (Judy) Luna and Loy (Fay) Luna; daughter, Marcella (Martin) Ward; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Born in El Paso, Texas, she and her family moved to Arizona in the 1950's. She volunteered along with her husband at University Medical Center interpreting Spanish. She also volunteered at Casa de los Ninos and taught Catechism and Spanish to children in Nogales. She was also a Columbiaete. Her Christian faith was seen in compassion for others. She was very loving, cheerful, and had a good sense of humor and family always came first. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. The sparkle in every grandchild and great-grandchild's eyes will always be a reminder of her continuing love and legacy. A special thanks to family and friends, Villa Maria Care Center and Carondelet Hospice staff who so lovingly cared for and supported her.
