Obituary of Albert Tillman Scott

Albert Tillman (Bud) Scott, Jr. beloved, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, passed away December 18, 2011. He was born February 3, 1925 to Albert Tillman Scott and Susan Isabelle Levingston, at DeNoya, Oklahoma. A World War II veteran, he served in the United States Navy from July 18, 1943 to December 17, 1945. He married Billie Madelene Cowden, on June 8, 1945 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They settled in Salt Lake City, Utah, where they raised their family of four sons. Bud worked as a firefighter for the Salt Lake City Fire Department for 32 years. Declining health brought them to Tucson, AZ, in September 2007. Bud loved hunting, fishing, wood working and working on cars. Bud and Madelene spent many happy retirement years traveling across the United States and Mexico in their RV's visiting friends and family and doing genealogical research. Most of all, he loved, and was devoted, to his family. His legacy was one of love, faith, service and generosity. He is survived by sons, James (Carolyn), Paul (Dianne), Roger, William (Luell); 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and four sisters. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6901 East Kenyon Drive, Tucson, AZ. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor immediately following visitation. Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
