Obituary of Helen Elaine Dwyer

DWYER, Helen Elaine, our beautiful blue-eyed Irish lass joined her late parents, Abbey and James O'Shea and her sisters, the late Mary (William) Butler and the late Carole (Louis) Rostan, on January 2, 2012, leaving her high school sweetheart, Donald J. Dwyer, after 63 years of happy marriage and children, Kathleen (Glenn) Messmer, Mary Ellen, James (Marcia) and David (Sharon) Dwyer; grandchildren, Matthew (Terra) Messmer, Katherine and Michael Dwyer and Shea, Devin, Abbey and Madalyne Dwyer; great-granddaughter, Hannah Glenn Messmer; brother-in-law, Dr. William B. (the late Dorothy Anne) Dwyer; family friend, Mark Ott and many nieces and nephews. Helen was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where she graduated from St. Ferdinand's Elementary School, The Immaculata High School for Girls and DePaul University Secretarial School. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Helen's memory to the Alzheimer's Association , Casa de La Luz Hospice or a charity of your choice . The family extends heartfelt thanks to Samantha, Abigail and the entire Casa de La Luz Hospice Organization for their loving care of Helen during her illness. Visitation from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Rita in the Desert Catholic Church, 13260 E. Colossal Cave Rd., Vail, AZ, with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Rita in the Desert Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Holy Hope Cemetery.
