Obituary of William Adrian Fulmer

William A. (Bill) Fulmer passed away peacefully at Peppi’s House Hospice on January 5, 2012. Bill was born on May 9, 1927 in North Dakota. He grew up in Iowa, graduated from Marion High School in 1945, and immediately entered the Navy. While at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, he sang in the Blue Jacket Choir on Sunday mornings on the radio. He went on to serve aboard a sea-going tug in the South Pacific until the end of the war. After his discharge, Bill lived in Springville, IA where he married Darlene in 1950. In 1953 he and Darlene moved to Tucson where they have lived for 59 years. Bill sold cars for Rollings Motors and Quebedeaux Pontiac before he sold food for University Sales and S. E. Rykoff. He retired from Rykoff/Sexton in 1992 and went on to spend most of his retirement traveling in his motor home. He was a member of Elks Lodge #385 for many years. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Darlene; son Todd; daughter Cindy; son-in-law Steve; and granddaughters Stephanie and Nicola. The family will be hosting a celebration of Bill’s life at his home on January 14th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Call 298-1767 for information.
