Obituary of William Walter Rountree

William (Bill) Walter Rountree III Born December 12, 1931 in Spring Lake, NJ and died on January 20, 2012. He is survived by Harriet, his wife of 56 years; four children, Stephanie, Juanita, Keith and Michele; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one brother. His joy, exuberance and charm touched everyone who knew him. Bill retired as a decorated US Air Force Colonel in 1981 after thirty years of service, including a tour in Vietnam. His many awards included the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Excellence Award and Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church United Methodist. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
