Obituary of Marilyn Sue Woerner

Marilyn Sue Woerner 11/1/1937 - 1/30/2012 Beloved wife of Loren R. Woerner, Marilyn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Mary Grace Taylor and Garret Hildebrand. Sue graduated from Manual High School, Indianapolis, in 1955. Sue married Loren R. Woerner, April 28, 1956 at Olive Branch Christian Church, Indianapolis. She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Virginia Bond; brother-in-law, Kenneth Bond and nephew, Michael Yarian. Survived by her husband; nephew, Greg Bond of Chicago; nieces, Paula Yarian and Kim (Bill) Yarian and great-niece, Elizabeth (Anthony) Tharp of Indiana. Sue was a great supporter of her husband during his career, which took them to assignments in Indiana, New York, Ohio, California, Pennsylvania and to retirement in Arizona in 1990. Sue was an Elder Emeritus at Saguaro Christian Church, Tucson, Arizona. Sue was active in various capacities as a member of the church during the past 20 years. Sue was an avid fan of Wildcat Basketball. She loved to travel, taking her on cruises to all parts of the world. She loved to escape the Tucson heat by going to the Oregon Coast for a short time in the summer. Her favorite meal was chicken meatballs and pasta at Vivace. Sue is greatly missed by Loren and all of those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Saguaro Christian Church, 8302 E. Broadway, Tucson, Arizona 85710 (520-296-5901). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sue Woerner Christmas Fund at the church. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
